Into the 1000 Islands

Not far up from Kerr Bay along Adolphus Reach was Kingston. I called and emailed more frequently as we approach for details on where to go to pick up our package. Finally discovered they had never sent the package last week and would send it out today...F&@#!! ...change of plans. We stopped in at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour Marina for much needed fuel. Two large power boats entered the channel in front of us which left no room on the fuel dock for us. It was tight and the wind was blowing so we tied up to a dock close by and used a wheel-barrel to lug our four fuel jugs to and from the diesel pumps. While I did this, Julie plugged in the boat to shore power (a good charge of the batteries...why not?) and filled up on water again. It was a sunny warm day, so we walked to the local Portsmouth Tavern for lunch...met Chuck, the bar-keep, who had worked there for 39 years and had a couple choice Toronto Maple Leaf jokes once he heard we were from Toronto. I commented, based on the urinals people here must be very friendly...lol

Now we were full of fuel, water, power and food in our belly's. The package was to be shipped over-night so we set sail, passed Kingston an hour to anchor behind Treasure Island...now officially in the 1000 Islands. Adam mentioned he saw boats anchored by TI and it looked good...beautiful homes surrounded the bay. We swam, BBQ'd, Julie went for some exercise and swam to shore and back, I followed close by rowing the dinghy. We relaxed then continued to focus on the boat's cleanliness.
