The predicted west wind is to be much lighter and shorter than previously reported so we head for Black Point which has no protection from a West wind. Julie’s
nurse at Little Farmers Cay is a cousin of Shavaigo who owns a local bar here
called Scorpios…and it just so happens, it's the islands first Beer Fest today (music and drinks on the beach). However,
due to the weather they postpone it until tomorrow. That didn't stop us from sitting at the bar enjoying Scorpio's rum punch and wings. We picked up a few groceries on our way
back to the dinghy; we can see the winds had picked up out of the west. Dutchess and BoomDeYada were rocking back and forth at anchor in 3 foot waves. The other boats in the harbour had all
gone and we were the only dinghy at the dock and the dinghy was now 6 feet lower than the dock due to low tide. The water was rough but we managed to get our goods and ourselves in Jettie’s dinghy, then shove off. A couple seconds later the
engine dies…Jettie forgot that she had a stern anchor out and it got wrapped
around the prop. Ben rowed us back to hold on to the dock while Jettie and I
unravelled the anchor line. Once all safe back aboard our boats, Julie and I settled in to
watch some Boston Legal on the laptop. By morning the seas were calm, some blue
skys and some rain clouds in the distant...things were looking up, weather-wise.
The Beer Fest was a bust for us cruisers...being off-season, it was more for the locals, but we were welcomed anyway. (I seem to have lost my pictures from Black Point)

Our last trip north before turning back south towards George Town...we head to Staniel Cay with our buddy boats.

| A tourist boat coming to see the swimming pigs |

It was at Staniel Cay that we said our good-byes to Jettie, Donna and Ben as they headed northwest to Nassau and Florida and we headed south back to George Town to prepare the boat for our departure and hurricane season.
